The 2010 Redline Time Attack series launched at the birthplace of the North American time attack scene, Buttonwillow Raceway Park’s notorious Race #13 clockwise configuration. In practice David Empringham drove the Sierra Sierra Cosworth Evo 8 to a 1:43.523, which was good enough to best the standing course record, previously held by the HKS CT230R Evo 8 with a 1:43.523. Sierra Sierra won the overall event followed closely by Christian Rado in his 1,000hp FWD Scion tC, which ran an equally amazing 1:46.7.
